While walking in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, the sunlight shone through the trees, creating beautiful patterns on the ground. This play of light and shadow inspired me to take a photo with a large format camera, which captured the details. The final image, turned into a 4x5 cyanotype, not only froze the moment but also honored a 19th-century photography method. The deep blue color of the cyanotype gave the picture a dreamlike feel, enhancing the calm and nostalgic atmosphere of the scene. This mix of modern and classic techniques expressed both the fleeting beauty of nature and the lasting essence of photography.
